The Australian Living Peace Museum in conjuction with the History Teachers Association of Victoria has developed a curriculum resource for the online exhibition Against the Odds. This resource provides a stimulating range of activities for students undertaking the compulsory Victorian History Curriculum Level 9/10 unit Australia at war (1914 – 1945). It helps students reflect on the complexities of the conscription debate through a range of analytical, creative and research tasks. The resource can be found on the Against the Odds digital story page, or directly from here.
The Peace Museum are interested developing further lesson plans and research project suggestions suitable for use in the classroom. If you are interested in contributing to these, please contact the Museum.
Another good lesson plan has been developed by the Medical Association for the Prevention of War (MAPW) and may be found here.
